Hasuda City Public Library
Book Requests
- Inform a Librarian when the book you are looking for is not there. Then fill out a "request card" and submit to the Service Counter.
- For items that the library does not own,we will try to get a copy sent from another library.
Audiovisuals
- Materials available for loan:
CDs,Audio Cassettes,Videos&DVDs
※Please present your library card at the Service Counter when taking any of these materials out.
- Audiovisual Service at the Library
These are labeled materials (LDs,DVDs,Videos)exclusively for use at the library.
They are not for loan. You may view these materials using the audiovisual aids at the library.
※To view these materials,fill out the “Audiovisual Material Usage Application Form"and submit to the to the Audiovisual Counter.
※This service runs on a first come first serve basis. When the material you want is in use by another library user,you will be asked to wait for your turn to use it.
Teens Division
The division house teen recreational reading materials. It has a selection of novels,teen magazines,and a growing collection of books on various subjects,such as hobbies and recreation
Library Service is Available to:
- Hasuda City residents and people who commute to school and work Hasuda.
- Residents of Sugito Town,Miyasiro Town,Kasukabe City,KuKi City,Saate City,Shoubu Town,Kurihashi Town,Wasimiya Town,shiraoka Town and Ina Town
First Time Usage
- Fill out the “Library Card Application Form" and submit to the Service Counter.
Applicant will be asked to provide a piece of identification that shows the applicant's current residential address.(National Health Insurance Card,Driver's License,Student ID,etc) - If you have lost your Library Card or changed your adress,please report it to the Library immediately.
- Library Cards can also be used to loan materials on the Bookmobile.(Mobile Library
Loan Period and Limits
Loan Period for all library materials: 2 weeks
- The maximum number of items that any borrower may have checked out at one Time for Books,Magazines and picture stories(Kamishibai) combined,10. For CD's,Audio Cassettes,Videos and DVDs,the combined limit is 4.
- The Latest issue of all magazines and referencebooks are not for loan.They can only be used at the library.
Bookmobile
- Bookmobile“Ayase Go"circulates around the city once ever 2 weeks. For information regarding it's running schedule,please inquire at the library.
- The bookmobile service might be cancelled in case of bad weather.
Newspapers and Magazines Division
- The division has a collectin of magazines covering a wide range of subjects,such as general interest,arts and literature,busines general interest,arts and literature,business and finance,hobbies/practical uses,and women's interests.
Meeting Facility Lending Service
- The Audiovisual Hall,the Conference Room and the other Meeting Rooms are available for group activity uses.
- Booking is accepted up to 2 months before the intended date of usage.
Interlibrary Network
- Through agreements between Hasuda City.
Sugito Town,Miyasiro Town,Kasukabe City, Kuki City,Satte City,Shoubu Town,Kurihashi Town and Washimiya Town, the interlibrary network makes it possible for you to borrow materials and use library facilities freely in any of the 9 member libraries.
※For further details on how to use this service, please inquire at the library in your area.
※Please note that only residents living in Hasuda City can the Ina Town Library.
Returns
- You may return materials either to the library or to the bookmobile.
- When returning materials after library open hours,please drop off books at the “Book Return Post"located on the right hand side of main entrance.
- For CDs,Audio Cassettes,Videos and DVDs, please return in person at the Service Counter.
Do not return these materials throuth the Book Return Post,as they could be damaged easily. - The “Book Return Post"can also be found at the following places:
Hasuda City Hall,Central Community Center, Children's Center,Parcy,and the Agricultural Training Center.
Finding Materials in the Library
- Please use the Library Catalogue to look up materials you need.
- If you cannot find the material you need or do not know how to use the Catalogue,please ask for help at the Service Counter. Our librarians will be glad to assist you.
Photocopying
- According to the Copyright Act,only materials housed at the Hasuda City Public Library are permitted for photocopying at the library.
- To make a photocopy,fill out the “Library Material Photocoying Application Form"and submit to the Service Counter.

- Sun. Mon. Wed. Fri. Sat. 9:30~17:00
- Thurs. 9:30~19:00
- On Weekdays between July 1st to August 31st,9:30~19:00 month
Closures
- Tuesdays
- National Holidays(on May 5th,November 3rd,and when a holiday falls on a Sunday or Saturday,the library is open)
- New Year's Holiday Season(December 28 th-January 4th of the next year)
- Material Sorting Day(every 1st Friday of the month)
